Every game on the shelf as the thing it came on.
unslot is a skeuomorphic frontend for Anbernic's H700 handhelds, running on BaseOS. Fifty-five systems as carts, cards, discs, floppies and tapes, with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and updates over the air.
Game Boy Advance
Wallpaper: Warped City by Luis Zuno, CC0. Titles on the shelf are made up.
Past the Game Boy, and onto the network.
A fork of slot that keeps its cart shelves and gives the handheld a radio, a keyboard and a way to fetch its own updates.
55 systems, from arcade boards to the PSP.
Each shelf shows its games as the media they came on. Nintendo 64, Dreamcast and PSP draw on the GPU.

Onto the card.
unslot runs on BaseOS, so BaseOS goes on the card in TF1 first. Pick where you're starting from.
- Download
unslot-<version>-<model>.img.zipfor your model from the latest release. It is BaseOS with unslot already on it. - Flash it to the card in TF1.
- Boot it once. It grows to fill the card.
- Add games over File sharing or Syncthing. The unslot space is ext4, which a reset mid-write cannot corrupt, but Windows and macOS cannot open.
Or flash your model's BaseOS image yourself, boot it once, and copy the contents of a release's unslot-<version> folder onto its BASEOS volume (or onto a card in TF2). Add games and restart.
- Go to Settings → Network → Updates. It downloads the new release's
unslot-<version>.pakand installs it when you restart. - Or copy the
.pakto the root of the card yourself and restart with the power connected.
System/ is replaced. Your games, saves, labels and settings stay. A .pak is installed only if its signature, version and zip all check out against unslot's release key; anything else is renamed .bad and logged in Logs/update.log.
- Copy the release's
MinUI.zipto the root of the card. - Restart with the power connected. BaseOS installs it before the frontend starts.
Unzip your ROMs, except for the systems whose games are zips: arcade, Neo Geo and CPS sets as the cores name them (FinalBurn Neo's sets, or MAME 2003-Plus's), and DOS and Amiga games packed that way.
On the card
Games/<Folder>- Your games, by the folder in the systems table. A multi-disc game goes in once, as an
.m3uplaylist. Labels/<Folder>- A label for a game, as
<game>.png. Game Art fills these in for you. BIOS- BIOS files, by the names in the systems table, some in a folder of the core's.
Wallpapers- Your own wallpapers, PNG or JPG.
Config/wireguard- WireGuard tunnels, as wg-quick
.conffiles. Config/screenscraper.conf- Your ScreenScraper login, which you can also enter from Game Art.
System- unslot itself. Updates replace it whole.
Built for the H700.
unslot targets every H700 model BaseOS supports, and has been run on the RG34XX SP. slot itself supports the RG SP, RG34XX, RG34XX SP, RG35XX SP, RG35XX Plus and RG28XX.
Tried unslot on another model? Open an issue and say how it went.
